A 20-year veteran of the IT industry, Devan has extensive working experience in the areas of Software & Applications, Virtualization, Cloud, Networking & Telecommunications, Telephony, Contact Center & Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Process Outsourcing and of Managed Services.
Devan is currently the Country Head of Managed Services for Fujitsu Malaysia which focuses on Outsourcing Services but his new key mandate is to launch the Fujitsu Malaysia Datacenter(s) and position Fujitsu as a leader in providing Cloud Services for the Malaysian market.

Before joining Fujitsu, Devan was the CEO of a small local startup (NLTVC) which designed, built and sold High Definition Video Conferencing Solutions. He says “It was the best of times and the worst of times” but the experience has left him forever richer.

He was also the Head of Managed Services in Maxis, where his role is to develop new and exciting products for Maxis for their Enterprise customers. His focus areas include Connectivity in the form of MPLS, Collaboration Services like Microsoft Productivity Solutions as well as the Maxis Data Center and Maxis Cloud offering. In this capacity he represents Maxis in many events evangelizing the “Cloud” as well as participates as the Maxis representative in many associations like the Malaysian Data Center Alliance.

He joined Maxis from Microsoft where he spent the last 2 years leading a team of talented individuals in the Enterprise ATU Team focusing on the Top 50 strategic customers in Malaysia. In his capacity as the Sales Director of the Enterprise Partner Group, he worked closely with these customers to develop and align their strategies to leverage the best solutions available to them from Microsoft.

Prior to joining Microsoft he spent 4.5 years in Cisco Systems holding many leaderships role including the Director of Advanced Technology for
Cisco Malaysia, Director of Enterprise Business for Cisco Malaysia and lastly as the Director for Strategic Accounts for Cisco Asia.

In this role he focused on the key Strategic Accounts in South East Asia and these were among the largest companies in the region. Among these Clients where; Petronas (Malaysia), PTT (Thailand), The San Miguel Group (Philippines) and The Lippo Group (Indonesia). His focus was to work closely with the Client’s Senior Leadership Teams in helping them to leverage Business IT to improve existing and/or to develop new business opportunities.

He has held many different leadership roles in his previous company Avaya, which included being the Technical Manager and then the Acting Country Manager of Avaya Malaysia. He helped Avaya to build a brand for themselves after the spin-off from Lucent Technologies. From a relative unknown company to become the No.1 Contact Center provider in Malaysia.

He started of his career as a System Engineer with Cabletron Systems initially based out of their office in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang and supporting most of the MNCs in the Penang Free Trade Zone. He quickly moved up the ranks to become the Senior Network Consultant in Cabletron eventually being based out of the KL office and supporting at one time the entire Asia Pacific and Japan theater.

In the 6 years he spent in Cabletron he did multiple role at the same time; these include being the Product Manager for ATM, WAN Networking and Layer 3 switching. He was also based in Cabletron India for a short while as the Regional Technical Lead and was even a Certified Trainer for Cabletron Systems conducting many customer and partner certification training.

A graduate from USM with an Honors degree in Computer Science, he is an avid golfer, who enjoys playing the game with his two sons; Sanjay and Kishen and he loves to travel with his wife Seetha.
