The Cloud World Series took the inaugural move into the South East Asian Region this year and here is why:

  • Malaysia is in the ‘sophomore’ stage of cloud adoption and ICT spending, and therefore a perfect meeting place for those travelling from the more digitally advanced Singapore and SEA’s developing markets e.g. Indonesia and The Philippines.
  • Implementation of an integrated ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is scheduled to happen in December 2015, and Malaysia will chair.
  • Malaysia is at the centre of SEA geographically, with KL being a important regional hub and a brilliant, vibrant city!.
  • Although the Southeast Asia region comprises of 11 countries, it is Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand who will spend the most on IT and account for roughly 80 percent of IT spend in the region.
